Pico de Teide

Pico del Teide is a volcano on Tenerife in the Canary Islands. Its 3,718m summit is the highest point in Spain and the highest point above sea level in the islands of the Atlantic. At this photo we can also see the Roque Cinchado - a unique rock formation that is emblematic of the island of Tenerife. In fact, a very similar image appeared on one thousand peseta bank notes, with Teide in the background.
